State Health Insurance Laws

Currently the following 17 states require individual and gorup health insurers to cover treatment for PANS and PANDAS such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and immunodulatory therapy, including intravenous immunoglobulin, or IVIG:

2026 New Jersey action Update

Assembly Bill 3246 and Senate Bill 598

Assemblyman Dan Hutchison and Senator James Beach have re-introduced legislation to require insurance coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of PANS and PANDAS.  A3246 and S598  have been referred to the Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee, respectively.
