TWO BILLS ARE PENDING IN THE NEW JERSEY STATE LEGISLATURE

Patients, families, friends and loved ones of children and young adults suffering from devastating conditions PANS and PANDAS need your help. Two bills, Assembly Bill 5325 and Senate Bill 4444, are currently pending in the New Jersey state legislature. If these bills become law, New Jersey will join 15 other states that require health insurance plans to provide coverage for the treatment of PANS and PANDAS. These measures will reduce insurance coverage denials of prescribed medications which cause delays in access to critical, medically necessary treatment.

How can you help? Please take a few minutes out of your day to:

✅ Contact your two Assembly members and one Senator representing your district. Please ask them to support Assembly Bill 5325 (when contacting Assembly members) and Senate Bill 4444 (when contacting Senators)  to require health insurance coverage for the treatment of PANS and PANDAS and consider becoming a co-sponsor of these bills.

☎️💻 Just three calls or emails per person could make a huge difference in the lives of New Jersey children and families if we work collectively. We are so grateful for your help!  You can find email addresses for your state legislators here.

For details and further instructions about contacting your legislators, please visit ASPIRE or email ajohnson@policyconsult.com with questions or to join our email list.

Thank you!
